The highlight of Intellect 7 is the new Intellect MobileApps for the iPad that extends Intellect's capabilities to the mobile device. The software offers a way to develop native mobile apps that link back to the Intellect server.

Elias said the new mobile capabilities provide opportunities for channel partners. "This is giving them a whole new level of capabilities," he said. "This is a solution that's going to be a game-changer. Mobile is huge."

Intellect MobileApps is now available as a beta release through the Apple App Store, and Elias said a version for Android devices is under development for next year.

Alligar's Spaid said Intellect 7's automated development capabilities for iPad applications are "very unique" in the industry. He's been working with Intellect for several years and said its automation capabilities are one of its key attractions.

"The beauty of Intellect is that the businesspeople are [using] it, not IT," he said.

Other enhancements in Intellect 7 include the ability to merge data from the toolset into predefined PDF forms, extended reporting and dashboard options, and advanced password policy management and security. The tools are fully integrated with Microsoft Word, according to the company, and they support Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox and Chrome browsers.
