NetSuite Targets QuickBooks Users

NetSuite Small Business--which includes Web-based applications to manage sales, contacts, financials, and ecommerce--has been retooled to directly compete with QuickBooks, the San Mateo, Calif.-based company said.

The QuickBooks angle is a natural, since Intuit's small business accounting package has the biggest market share in the space.

NetSuite Small Business incorporates features designed to ease the transition from QuickBooks, said NetSuite, including mimicking how QuickBooks tracks vendors, invoices customers and pays bills. The on-demand suite also uses QuickBook-like terminology, navigation and menus, and it prints to most QuickBooks checks, forms, and deposit slips.

The suite also includes a migration wizard to help customers move important data out of QuickBooks and into NetSuite Small Business.
