Arrow Gets Software Upgrade

Plans also call for Arrow's SBM and Support Net divisions to carry CA's Unicenter Desktop Management Bundle and Unicenter Desktop DNA products, Arrow executives said. The distributor carries CA's eTrust security and Brightstor storage software lines as well.

Arrow recently signed new or additional distribution agreements with BEA Systems and McAfee as part of a move to expand its software line card for the Sun Microsystems platform, said Kevin Powell, vice president of enterprise software at Arrow. In addition, MOCA soon will be authorized to open Symantec and McAfee training centers for solution providers and their end-user customers, Powell said.

Solution providers attending Net@Work said Arrow's robust software lineup will help bring more value to their organizations.

"They're doing a great job. Solutions are more than just hardware, and anything that can increase margins and bring more things to the table helps us," said Norm Shockley, president and CEO of Adeara, Sunnyvale, Calif.
