PeopleSoft Unveils EnterpriseOne Rapid Start 8.11

The new release of Rapid Start adds Human Capital Management (HCM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) functionality:

• EnterpriseOne Rapid Start for HCM manages the employee lifecycle. The module includes defined user roles such as equipment operator, plant manager, and administrative assistant, and pre-configured HCM business processes such as benefits enrollment, process timecards, and pay employees.
• EnterpriseOne Rapid Start for CRM manages customer-facing business functions. The module includes defined user roles such as case manager, contracts administrator, and customer service representative, and pre-configured CRM business processes such as track leads, manage sales quotes, and manage cash receivables.

PeopleSoft claims that the software can be installed and configured in as little as one day, with complete software deployments in as few as four weeks. Implementation services and industry-specific solution training are provided by PeopleSoft Global Services and select PeopleSoft partners.

EnterpriseOne Rapid Start 8.11 will be generally available through PeopleSoft's direct sales force and its distributor channel partners in December 2004. Pricing is undisclosed. The solution is available on Intel, IBM eServer iSeries, UNIX and Linux-based platforms.
