Boston-based Retrieve Technologies is a communications platform built for business, constructed around video and mobile devices. Account executive Dan Simeone and sales professional Cam Harvey recently demonstrated the software at the Microsoft New England Research and Design Center.
“In just about three hours, you’re going to be able to build your own content management system and way to distribute that system the way you want to, at scale,” said Simeone.
Through Retrieve, users can "app-enable" their websites for marketing, on-boarding, and training purposes. The software also features multilingual capabilities, controlled distribution, and analytics and reporting tools.
“A good way to think of us is as the ‘Wix or Squarespace for mobile apps,’ ” said Harvey.
For example, the software could be used to create an app to replace instruction manuals. Users could access simple videos to answer frequently asked questions.
“We see that video is a little bit easier to understand than a traditional instruction manual,” Harvey said. “I don’t know if you guys have ever tried to put something together from Ikea. It can be a little bit of a struggle.”
