Bitglass’ Bill Ng Talks SASE And Cooks Up Hainanese Chicken

‘Cracking the code to the perfect Hainanese chicken and garlic rice,’ says Bill Ng, channel account manager at Bitglass.

Remote work is here to stay, and Bitglass’ Bill Ng tells CRNtv that the cloud security firm has incorporated Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) capabilities to meet the needs of today’s remote workforce, as he shares one of his childhood favorites, Hainanese chicken, a culinary staple from Southeast Asia.

Hainanese Chicken With Garlic Rice

INGREDIENTS

1 lb chicken breast

1 cup Jasmine rice

16 oz chicken broth

4 cloves of minced garlic

Ginger Scallion Sauce:

1 ginger root

1 bunch of scallions

2 cups of canola oil

1 pinch of salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Chicken:

1. Cook in pan on medium heat until brown on one side

2. Flip chicken breasts and cook on low heat with cover for 25 minutes

Rice:

1. Rinse rice and put in rice cooker

2. Mince garlic cloves and stir with rice

3. Pour in chicken broth and turn on rice cooker

Ginger Scallion Sauce:

1. Remove ginger skin with a spoon and dice scallions

2. Heat canola oil with medium heat in sauce pan and let it cool

3. Blend ginger, scallions, salt and canola oil.

Serve chicken breast over rice with the sauce on the side, and enjoy!
