Syncro Taps MSP Vet Tim Lasonde As Channel Chief

As channel chief, Lasonde will head strategic development initiatives while leading efforts to deepen communication and collaboration with Syncro’s partners.

Syncro has named MSP veteran Tim Lasonde as the company’s new channel chief.

Lasonde will replace Ian Alexander, co-founder of Syncro, who will stay on with the company as a strategic adviser.

“After 13 years in this role, it is time to hand the baton to the next generation of leaders who represent a new class of born-in-the-cloud MSPs,” Alexander said in a statement. “Tim’s career path from technician to leadership is testament to his deep understanding of our partners’ needs and his ability to incorporate them into the solutions Syncro is delivering.”

Lasonde has more than two decades of MSP industry experience and has held several roles from technician to president and COO of IT consulting company NSK. Under his leadership at NSK, the company evolved from a break-fix organization into a subscription-based MSP. After NSK was acquired by Focus Technology, Lasonde assumed the role of senior vice president of managed services, driving substantial revenue growth and elevating customer satisfaction.

The addition of Lasonde is the latest leadership shakeup at Syncro.

In February, Syncro named George, the former CEO of Continuum, to head the company and lead Syncro’s next phase of growth. The company’s most recent CEO, Emily Glass, departed the company in February. Reasons were not clear around her departure.

Last week, Syncro named Dee Zepf its chief product officer to spearhead product strategy and development initiatives.

“Recognized for her exceptional leadership and drive for innovation in the MSP market, Dee is well suited to lead Syncro’s product strategy with a focus on partner-centric solutions,” George said. “At Continuum, I witnessed firsthand her dedication to partner success and her ability to deliver impactful solutions. Dee was the visionary behind Continuum’s Intellimon product, which leveraged AI to enhance technician efficiency and automate issue resolution. Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to innovate and empower MSPs with cutting-edge technology.”

Zepf said she was looking forward to Syncro’s next stage of development.

“We have a unique opportunity to disrupt the MSP space with new product initiatives, leveraging AI and advanced technologies to deliver automation and an exceptional user experience for MSPs,” she said.
