ConnectWise Launches AI-Powered PSA, M365 Security Suite With Microsoft And Pax8, Next-Gen SIEM

‘We kept talking about Asio like it was a product. It’s not. It’s a platform. It’s an enabler,’ says David Raissipour, chief technology officer and chief product officer at ConnectWise. ‘You don’t buy the platform, you buy the solutions built on top of it.’

ConnectWise this week unveiled a Pax8 and Microsoft integration and next-generation PSA, reinforcing their commitment to unifying operations and delivering scalable solutions to MSPs.

All of the major updates tie back to ConnectWise’s Asio platform, which streamlines workflows and reduces tool sprawl for MSPs all through a single pane of glass.

“We kept talking about Asio like it was a product. It’s not. It’s a platform. It’s an enabler,” said David Raissipour, chief technology officer and chief product officer at the Tampa, Fla.-based vendor. “You don’t buy the platform, you buy the solutions built on top of it.”

Raissipour (pictured above) spoke to MSPs this week at the company’s IT Nation Secure event in Orlando and said the announcements aim to making MSPs’ jobs easier, “allowing you to focus on growing your business while we handle the complexity in the background.”

“At the end of the day, it’s about that end user,” he said. “How do we protect them? How do we make them more secure? And how do we help all of you build businesses that thrive in this ever-changing digital landscape?”

Jeff Bishop, EVP and GM of product management for ConnectWise, said tools that MSPs rely on are “often siloed, complicated and overwhelming,” To address this, the ASIO platform integrates more than 30 product lines, including PSA (professional services automation), RMM (remote monitoring and management), security and data protection tools, under one unified experience.

“We’ve rebuilt over 500 pages of the PSA,” Bishop said. “It’s modern, intuitive and consistent, so when you onboard a new team member, they don’t need to learn 30 different UIs.”

Here are three things to know about ConnectWise’s latest announcements.

1. Microsoft, Pax8 Collaboration For Endpoint Management, M365 Security

In collaboration with Microsoft and cloud marketplace Pax8, ConnectWise launched endpoint management and security for M365, a fully integrated solution now available on Pax8’s Marketplace.

This offering bundles Microsoft 365 Business Premium with EDR (endpoint detection and response), vulnerability scanning and mail filtering. Additionally it offers ConnectWise RMM Pro with intelligent alerts and Intune integration, MDR for Microsoft Defender (Endpoint plus M365) and ConnectWise Backup and Security Dashboards.

“At Microsoft, helping our customers stay secure is the highest priority. To support our SMB enterprises, our goal is to equip partners with the best-in-class security solutions,” said Erwin Visser, general manager of Microsoft, in a statement. “Microsoft 365 Business Premium delivers security capabilities typically reserved for large Enterprises, and when combined with ConnectWise Automation and SOC services, MSPs can deliver powerful security-first experiences to their clients.”

2. PSA Powered By Asio And New ConnectWise Pro Licensing

ConnectWise unveiled a modernized PSA platform built on Asio that delivers real-time operational dashboards,va unified interface across PSA and RMM tools and AI-powered automation through ConnectWise Sidekick: an AI companion designed for faster problem resolution, automation of complex tasks and increased efficiency.

Initial rollout will begin in July with selected partners.

“What we’re building isn’t just a new product,” Bishop said. “It’s a platform for scale, innovation and true service excellence. Our goal is simple, take the friction out of your day so you can focus on delivering amazing experiences.”

Additionally, the company revealed ConnectWise Pro, a consumption-based licensing model which consolidates PSA, RMM, CPQ (class-based queuing), remote support, documentation, and automation into one flexible contract.

Features include AI-generated scripting via Sidekick for RMM, AI-enhanced search across ConnectWise University, virtual community resources and natural language bot creation with ConnectWise RPA Pro to automate routine tasks and minimize manual effort.

3. Next-Generation ConnectWise SIEM

ConnectWise also debuted a reimagined SIEM (security information and event management) platform built on Asio. The new SIEM provides centralized log monitoring and AI-driven threat detection, streamlined alert triage and investigation workflows, automated reporting with customizable dashboards and an integration with the ConnectWise security dashboard.

The updated SIEM aims to deliver enterprise-grade protection while reducing the overhead and complexity of traditional security tools. And with built-in integrations to the ConnectWise security dashboard as well as automation capabilities, the updated SIEM allows MSPs to act faster during security-related incidents.

It reduces complexity through automated workflows that empower teams to act like security experts. The platform lowers costs by speeding up detection and response, optimizing data usage, and offering flexible pricing models.

Key features include centralized monitoring, advanced threat detection using machine learning, streamlined alert management and automated reporting with customizable dashboards.
