NinjaOne Names Paul Redding As Head Of MSP Partnerships: Exclusive

‘I feel like a kid that just won a golden ticket. I built my business from the basement of a concert hall. Now I get to help a global company talk to people just like me. It’s kind of magical. But more importantly, it’s necessary, for all of us,’ says Paul Redding, NinjaOne’s new head of MSP partnerships.

NinjaOne has tapped industry vet Paul Redding as its head of MSP partnerships to support MSPs in driving revenue growth and delivering greater value to their customers.

In the newly created role, Redding will focus on empowering NinjaOne’s global network of MSP partners by strengthening community connections, fostering collaboration and aligning product development with partner needs.

“NinjaOne realizes they’ve built something really amazing,” Redding told CRN in an exclusive interview. “They have global reach and, arguably, the best product of its type in the market. But they also realized something else—that they’ve been outsiders to this community.”

Redding brings decades of hands-on experience, starting his career as the CEO of an MSP. He has since held senior leadership roles across the cybersecurity space and, most recently, was the senior vice president of channel marketing and community at North Vancouver, British Columbia-based vendor CyberQP.

His new role, he said, is less about marketing and more about culture and community, “If I do my job right, NinjaOne will be the platform behind the fastest-growing MSPs in the world,” Redding said.

“They brought me in because I am these people,” he added. “I started my business in a basement. I dropped out of college four times. What keeps MSPs awake at night is what kept me awake at night. I talk the way they talk. That matters.”

That growth mindset, he believes, starts with changing the conversation.

“Paul’s first-hand experience gives him a deep understanding of the challenges MSPs face today,” Erzan Uygur, vice president of business and corporate development at NinjaOne, said in a statement. “As we continue to grow our platform and serve more complex MSP environments, his leadership will be key in helping our partners scale, succeed and deliver greater outcomes for their clients.”

NinjaOne partner Tommy Vaughn, president of Lynchburg, Va.-based Central Technology Solutions, said Redding’s appointment is “a crucial move toward strengthening the platform’s community presence.”

“Paul does such a good job with community because he’s been in our seat,” Vaughn said. “Just the fact that it’s him, with a plan that makes sense for MSPs, gives me a lot of confidence. He’ll help people, he’ll help the community, and he’ll help NinjaOne become more deeply involved, and that helps all of us.”

Redding, who took over the role Monday, said he’s ready to help NinjaOne “speak MSP” better and to help partners grow.

“I’m not here to teach partners how to use a product,” he said. “I’m here to help them sell better to their customers, help them make more money and evolve from service providers into educators. Their clients have AI on their phones now. That changes everything.”

And his message to the MSP community: The era of focusing just on tools is over.

“We’ve got to help MSPs shift toward business outcomes,” he said. “Not just, ‘Your endpoint is secure,’ but, ‘We helped your client gain 10 more customers.’ That’s the next evolution. And I think we’re in the right place, with the right mission, at the right time.

“I feel like a kid that just won a golden ticket,” he added. “I built my business from the basement of a concert hall. Now I get to help a global company talk to people just like me. It’s kind of magical. But more importantly, it’s necessary, for all of us.”
