Pax8 Taps Former LinkedIn, Indeed Exec As CTO
‘I’m thrilled to join Pax8 to continue the momentum and technical prowess built over the last decade to deliver the most effective and efficient infrastructure to empower SMBs and managed intelligence providers,’ says Avery Moon, Pax8’s new CTO.
Pax8 has appointed Avery Moon as CTO to lead the execution of the cloud marketplace’s engineering vision and strategy, advancing the company’s product-led approach and accelerating its transformation into an AI-driven technology organization.
Moon’s background includes leadership roles at LinkedIn, financial services firm Wealthfront and technology company Climate, as well as Fortune Global 500 organizations including Indeed and Bayer. In those roles, he led global teams and built market-leading products across major economies including the U.S., Germany, Japan and India.
“I am confident that Avery will imagine, innovate and deliver on the strategy we have set in motion as an AI-driven marketplace that empowers small to mid-sized businesses,” said Pax8 CEO Scott Chasin in a statement. “Avery will be instrumental in evolving the Pax8 Marketplace into the new operating system for the intelligent SMB. His track record of success and leadership has proven he’s the perfect fit and will drive Pax8 to new levels of success globally.”

Moon, who will report directly to Chasin, brings extensive experience leading engineering and scientific organizations through periods of rapid growth and scale. Prior to joining Pax8, he held a number of senior leadership roles, guiding companies from product-market fit through IPO or acquisition on four occasions and helped grow revenue beyond $1 billion twice.
“Pax8’s vision for where the industry is headed, and a corresponding strategy to deliver scalable managed intelligence, inspires and energizes me,” Moon said in a statement. “We are now at the productivity inflection point for AI, where intelligence is shifting from being embedded in tools to being delivered through autonomous, outcome-driven systems. I’m thrilled to join Pax8 to continue the momentum and technical prowess built over the last decade to deliver the most effective and efficient infrastructure to empower SMBs and managed intelligence providers.”
Over the last few years, Denver-based Pax8 has aggressively been evolving its cloud marketplace into an AI-driven engine designed to empower MSPs with data-led growth and automation capabilities. This shift has leveraged AI to help partners understand gaps in customer technology stacks and suggest solutions, moving beyond just product listings toward intelligent, solution-oriented commerce.
Central to its AI strategy is the company’s push into agentic AI and managed intelligence. Chasin has framed this as an industry transformation in which MSPs become managed intelligence providers, using autonomous AI agents to automate tasks and drive business outcomes rather than simply managing infrastructure.
Collectively, these innovations show Pax8 pushing the channel beyond conventional cloud distribution toward an AI-embedded future where predictive insight, autonomous agents and data intelligence form the backbone of how MSPs serve SMB customers and grow their business, according to Chasin.
