Accenture’s Most Highly Compensated Executives In 2022
2022 was a pivotal year for Accenture with revenue up 22 percent from 2021. Here are Accenture’s five most highly compensated executives.
Even with an economic downturn expected in 2023, IT spending is expected to continue to increase and accelerate, allowing solution providers like Accenture to offer more value-add to its customers.
“We believe that the current macro is making it even clearer to clients that they need to change more, not less. And that two of the five key forces of change that we have identified for the next decade—the need for total enterprise reinvention, enabled by tech, data and AI and the ability to access, create and unlock the potential of talent—are critical to succeed in the near-medium and long term,” said Accenture CEO Julie Sweet during the company’s Fiscal Year 2023 first-quarter earnings call last week.
In its first quarter, the Dublin, Ireland-based company—No. 1 on CRN’s Solution Provider 500 list for 2022— delivered bookings of $16.2 billion, with 24 customers with quarterly new bookings over $100 million.
Accenture’s fiscal year runs from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31.
In Fiscal Year 2022, Accenture generated $61.6 billion in revenue, which was a record increase of 22 percent in U.S. dollars. Operating cash flow for Fiscal Year 2022 was $9.5 billion and free cash flow was a record $8.8 billion. New bookings were a record $71.7 billion.
The company currently has 738,000 employees and serves 9,000 clients in 120 countries.
Accenture also acquired a total of 23 companies this past calendar year.
The most highly compensated executive, CEO Sweet, recorded more than $33 million in total compensation, mostly in the form of stock awards, according to a proxy filing on Dec. 13, 2022. Other executives who made the list include CFO KC McClure and CEO of North America James Etheredge.
