SentinelOne Coming To Sherweb Marketplace: ‘A Highly-Utilized Product Of MSPs’

‘It has enterprise features but still working successfully in the MSP market. We’re trying to drum up and be really aggressive in our cybersecurity offerings, so this is a major step in that. SentinelOne is one of the most highly-utilized products of MSPs in terms of cybersecurity and this will make us extremely competitive with other cloud providers,’ says Guillaume Boisvert, director of product innovation at Sherweb.

Cloud distributor Sherweb will soon be adding cybersecurity vendor SentinelOne’s platform to its marketplace as it hones in on its cybersecurity offerings and education around it.

Guillaume Boisvert, director of product innovation at Quebec-based Sherweb, told CRN that SentinelOne’s platform is a cybersecurity product that “so many MSPs are using” and want more.

“For us it was a big focus to get them into the marketplace and into the hands of our partners,” he said. “What [SentinelOne] relayed to us was they were getting a lot of asks from partners for SentinelOne through Sherweb. It all lined up for it to finally be the time for Sherweb to add SentinelOne and make it available.”

Michael Slater, Sherweb’s head of sales, Microsoft and cybersecurity, said adding the Mountain View, Calif.-based cybersecurity vendor is “a very competitive move from a sales perspective” as the vendor can play in the enterprise space but also scale down to the MSP and SMB market.

“It has enterprise features but is still working successfully in the MSP market,” Slater said. “We’re trying to drum up and be really aggressive in our cybersecurity offerings, so this is a major step in that. SentinelOne is one of the most highly-utilized products of MSPs in terms of cybersecurity and this will make us extremely competitive with other cloud providers.”

Boisvert said the focus of MSPs on cybersecurity is “very clear in a practical sense.”

“We live with our MSPs, and very specifically they’ve been asking for SentinelOne because they like Sherweb, they like the platform building, they like the support we give them and the value they provide, but they really want us to allow them to buy every product that makes their lives so much easier,” he said. “There was quite a bit of pressure on our end to get access to SentinelOne.”

With the vendor offering MDR (managed detection and response) and a whole host of cybersecurity tools, coming into the distributor’s marketplace meshes well with the message Sherweb aims to put forward and the education it offers in the cybersecurity space.

Boisvert added that bringing on SentinelOne to the marketplace “just made sense” for Sherweb’s partners as its introducing modern security concepts.

“As a loyal partner, we are delighted to see Sherweb forging a new partnership with SentinelOne,” Seth Kilander, CEO of Denver-based Ki Security and Compliance Group, told CRN. “This strategic alliance strengthens our position as a trusted security provider, empowering our business to deliver where our clients need it most. We are grateful to Sherweb for their commitment to bringing cutting-edge security solutions to the channel.”

SentinelOne’s offerings will be available through Sherweb in early 2024.

“The cyber threat landscape is rapidly evolving, and businesses face an increasing number of attacks,” said Chris Catanzaro, vice president of MSSP for SentinelOne, in a statement. “Together with Sherweb, we can provide access to leading AI-based solutions that empower enterprises to automatically detect and mitigate them and secure their future in an easy, cost-effective way.”
