Pomeroy Wins Its Largest Service Contract

Pomeroy IT Solutions (No. 67 on the 2005 VARBusiness 500) has been awarded the largest services contract in the company's 25-year history: $150 million during three years to provide services, including application development and database management, to a global IT business solutions firm, whose name has yet to be released.

Hebron, Ken.-based Pomeroy expects the contract will allow it to add more than 500 advanced technical workers to its national consulting practice during the first year.

"This will provide the company tremendous leverage" as it builds its technical resource base," said Steve Pomeroy, president and CEO of Pomeroy IT Solutions, in a statement, adding that the contract recognizes Pomeroy's national services capabilities.

Pomeroy reported sales of $742 million for its fiscal year ended Jan. 5, 2005. Currently, it maintains an employee base of more than 3,000 technical workers.
