VARBusiness.com: New And Improved

The Internet is dynamic, and VARBusiness is changing to meet the needs of our readers with its newly design Web site.

A redesign project nearly eight months in the making, the new VARBusiness.com sports a sleeker navigation system, modular content sections, more content and greater performance.

As you'll note, the navigation bar that linked to VARBusiness' various editorial sections, special projects and ongoing research reports is gone. We've replaced it with tabs at the top of the page, which will whisk viewers to our most popular content: Technology, Strategies, Customers, GovernmentVAR and, of course, our popular VARBusiness 500. Viewers will find the rich archives more accessible and easier to search for the information they need most.

In time, the VARBusiness team will continue to expand on these sections, providing visitors with dynamic content on a wide array of channel topics. Visitors will be able to link directly to a series of stories, read related content, search for similar articles, and listen to VARBusiness Podcasts and our signature NetSeminars.

The tabbed sections have helped free valuable real estate on the home page. That has allowed us to put feature articles, daily news and the current issue in more prominent positions on the page. Columns by publisher Robert DeMarzo, editor Lawrence M. Walsh and senior executive editor T.C. Doyle are easier to find. And our premier VARBusiness Podcasts remains a central element; it's simple to access downloadable files or to play streaming audio files of editorial reports.

Another improvement are our forums, allowing visitors to post their thoughts on specific articles, trends and events. We hope visitors will take advantage of these forums to communicate with their peers and provide others with guidance and wisdom for running their channel businesses.

VARBusiness is proud to bring you, our readers and Web site visitors, this improved Web site. In the five years since the last redesign, readers' online needs and habits have changed dramatically. We believe this new design will provide VARBusiness.com visitors with a better experience and access to more information. We hope you enjoy it and will share your thoughts.
