HP Moves Tech Forum From New Orleans To Orlando, Fla.

HP originally planned to hold the event Sept. 12 to 15 in New Orleans but postponed it in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The conference was slated to take place at the New Orleans Convention Center, one of the most visible sights of human tragedy following the devastating storm.

The company said the forum will proceed with the same elements, which include technical training sessions, hands-on labs, the Technology Exchange and the HP Solutions Showcase.

However, as of midday Monday, HP said it was uncertain whether CEO Mark Hurd would deliver the keynote address, as was previously scheduled.
