MSSP Perimeter Internetworking Buys U.S. Networks
U.S. Networks& network management and help desk services -- and a new e-mail content filtering service -- will be added to Perimeter&s 50 current security services, allowing Perimeter to provide a more complete offering to customers, said Brad Miller, CEO of the Milford, Conn.-based MSSP.
“Customers want one company to deal with for the whole picture,” Miller said. “They don&t want disjointed services.”
Perimeter also plans to leverage U.S. Networks' knowledge of different customer segments to expand beyond its traditional financial services niche, Miller said.
The deal, valued at about $4 million in cash, adds 50 customers, $3 million in annual revenues and about 25 employees to Perimeter, Miller said. It also adds a carrier-grade monitoring facility that will become Perimeter&s primary data center, he said.
