Alienware Releases Mobile Workstation With Dual Core
The company, which manufactures desktop, notebook, server and professional systems, has announced its new MJ-12 m7700a. The AMD-complement to Alienware's top-selling mobile commercial workstation has desktop-equivalent processing and graphics capabilities, dual hard drives and optical drives.
It comes with an option for AMD dual-core Opteron processors for memory-intensive applications and demanding digital content. It also features graphics technology from NVIDIA, including the Quadro FX Go 1400 card and a 17" wide-screen LCD with ClearView technology. It also supplies storage and backup flexibility with support for dual hard drives in RAID 0 or 1 configurations and options for CD-RW/DVD and DVD R/W optical drives.
It's the industry's first AMD Opteron processor and NVIDIA Quadro graphics based mobile platform, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Alienware's Worldwide Product Group Frank Azor said in a prepared statement.
The MJ-12 m7700a allows creative professionals and commercial uses to perform simultaneous 32-bit and 64-bit computing.
