Syamntec expands global partner advisory council
Symantec developed regional partner advisory councils for North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific in 2003 and established the global partner advisory council in 2004. The expansion of Symantec&'s regional and global councils are part of its continued efforts to build a common framework among channel partners.
The advisory councils are focused on strengthening relationships between the company and its enterprise partners. They also plan to establish an interactive vehicle to shape go-to-market strategies and build an effective, influential forum for strategic communication between Symantec and its partners from all over the world. "As a channel-oriented company, Symantec places a high priority on partner feedback,” said Julie Parrish, vice president of Symantec's global channel sales in a release.
The global partner advisory council and regional advisory council include more than 20 partners, representing key industry segments and the geographic regions that Symantec does business in.
