The networking vendor's Dual-Band Wireless Access Point, model WAP51AB, will support the popular 802.11b Wi-Fi as well as the up-and-coming 802.11a standard, providing a growth path to faster wireless in the future.

The 802.11b standard operates at up to 11 Mbps in the 2.4GHz frequency, while 802.11a operates at up to 54 Mbps in the 5GHz band.

Aimed at the SMB/SOHO market, the access point is expected to carry a list price of $299.
