Best Updates Integration Software For SalesLogix, Back-Office Apps
The new version could help Best's channel partners craft easier and faster interactions between front- and back-office systems for their customers. The result, claim Best executives, gives even smaller companies the capabilities of the much-vaunted "realtime enterprise."
Using Best's SalesLogix CRM software as the front end to Best's back-office systems, customers can more easily query, for example, inventory levels, order status, and the credit status of their customers.
Version 2.1 of the enhanced software, called Dynalink for SalesLogix, now features out-of-the box integration between the SalesLogix front-end with Best's MAS 90, MAS 200, MAS 500 and Platinum for Windows, as well as versions 6.0, 6.5 and 7.0 of Great Plains.
"I'm happy [Best] didn't just tie it to Best back-office packages because it really opens the market for us," said Mitchell Cannady, President and CEO of Spinnaker Network Solutions, in Irvine, Calif. "Most customers have modified their databases, so there's always some need for code manipulation when integrating products. But this does give us a great starting point by having integration out of the box, which is something we haven't had."
DynaLink for SalesLogix is $1,950 for one server and five users. A five-user, add-on option is $500; a 25-user pack costs $2,250. Best also offers an $8,200 bundle, which covers the server and an unlimited number of users. Best is located in Scottsdale, Ariz.
