Synnex Expands Into Mexico With Second Acquisition In Two Days

Synnex Tuesday said it has acquired sales and distribution operations from Novitech, a Mexico City-based distributor, as well as branch locations in Guadalajara, Puebla, Veracruz, Queretaro, and Monterrey.

The subsidiary, called Synnex de Mexico, began distribution operations May 1.

"Combining a superior staff of employees and strong leadership with Synnex's products, programs and wide array of services offerings allows us to service the Mexico reseller base with great efficiency and velocity, and positions us to become the leading distributor of IT products in the Mexico region very quickly. On Monday, Fremont-based Synnex said it had agreed to purchase Gates/Arrow the broadline distribution arm of Arrow Electronics.
