Synnex Authorized To Sell Compaq Directly To Solution Providers

Synnex will stock and distribute the products that made up the former Compaq Access Business Group line, including desktops, notebooks and iPaq handheld devices, as well as Compaq's Wintel servers and storage products.

Prior to the company's merger with HP, Synnex distributed Compaq products to resellers through an indirect distribution program. Fremont-based Synnex expects to significantly increase its Compaq inventory and support to Compaq solution providers, said Bob Huang, president and CEO of Synnex.

"This new agreement rounds out a complete distribution relationship with the new HP," Huang said. "Synnex reseller partners will now [have the ability to obtain all of their IT products from the new HP through one source."

Synnex has been an HP distributor since 1997.
