Response Networks Merges With OpenService
Response Networks Open Service Open
Both companies specialize in security management, with OpenService focused on network security management and Response Networks on service-level agreement (SLA) monitoring and management.
In April, Response Networks introduced a new service-level management solution with alerts for potential violations of SLAs.
Rather than send a page or e-mail to a service provider when a violation or problem occurs, the software monitor sets parameters for network and application performance and alerts the service provider when performance parameters are in danger of being overreached.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The merger is one of many in the MSP space in recent months. In June, Exigen Group acquired the professional service automation assets of Portera, while USinternetworking merged with Interpath. In May, Avasta and SiteRock merged under the name Avasta. In January, SevenSpace merged with Nuclio, and Response Networks acquired AperServ.
