Tech Data Adds AOpen, Celestica, Corsair White-Box Products To Components SBU

The Clearwater, Fla.-based distributor said it will carry whitebook laptops from AOpen, bare-bones servers from Celestica and high-end server and gaming memory products from Corsair through the Components SBU.

Through Tech Data, AOpen will sell its whitebook laptop components designed specifically for Intel's Centrino processors. AOpen's whitebooks are the first laptop components offered by Tech Data's Components SBU that are designed for Intel Centrino mobile technology, according to the distributor.

Celestica's servers have been validated by Advanced Micro Devices to ensure compatibility with AMD's Opteron processors. The servers are powered by dual 64-bit AMD Opteron processors, which deliver 32-bit performance as they enable users to transition to 64-bit applications. It is the first time Tech Data has distributed bare-bones servers validated by AMD for use with the AMD Opteron processor.

Tech Data's addition of Corsair enhances its memory offerings in the Components SBU, which also includes products from Edge, Kingston Technology and SMART Modular Technologies.
