BladeLogic Enhances Data Center Management Platform

BladeLogic's Release 7 uses what it calls synchronous management to allow IT organizations to synchronize all configuration management activities across various IT teams. By enabling the use of multifunctional policies that link specific people and teams to specific infrastructure components and the management actions they are authorized to perform, the product enables provisioning, configuration management, and compliance management action to be completed using established policies.

Release 7 includes several enhancements to BladeLogic Operations Manager, the company's primary product line. Release 7 adds Application Release Manager, a dedicated application release management product that streamlines environments to ensure timely and accurate application releases.

The product is designed to allow IT executives to build, configure, and process polices based on best practices from organizations such as the Center for Internet Security and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library.
