First Layoffs, Now A Management Exodus At AOL
According to a Dow Jones report Friday, James Bankoff, the head of AOL's online content, is among the executives who will leave in early March. The departures are taking place as Randy Falco, AOL's new chief executive, rearranges the chairs in the firm's executive suite.
Also reported leaving are Joe Redling and John Buckley. Redling had directed AOL's paid services and mobile operations while Buckley directed AOL's public relations.
The news service said Falco tried to keep the men in their positions.
Earlier this week, AOL announced a wave of layoffs, although the firm said the latest round of layoffs was drawing to a close.
