Agilysys Expands Hospitality Business With InfoGenesis
InfoGenesis, No. 136 on the 2007 VARBusiness 500, is a privately held, independent software vendor and solution provider to the hospitality market. That purchase follows two significant recent announcements from Agilysys. In May the VAR said it would buy Innovativ, Sun's largest storage reseller, and in April it bought Stack Computer.
The $90 million cash deal brings Agilysys one step closer to attaining its goal of $1.5 billion in revenue with 20 percent operating margins within three years. Last year, the solution provider reported $513.62 million in revenue.
InfoGenesis focuses on enterprise-class point-of-sale solutions, with a large presence in casinos, hotels and resorts, cruise lines, stadiums and food service.
"The addition of InfoGenesis compliments our hospitality solutions offering," said Arthur Rhein, chairman, president and CEO of Agilysys. "InfoGenesis will enhance our offerings in the hospitality space. We will be able to cover all operational needs of our hospitality customers, from POS management to activity management, which is used by spas, for example. The acquisition provides us with a total package we can bring to our customers."
InfoGenesis will be merged into Agilysys' hospitality line of business.
