Bluewolf Shows United Way A Better Way

A two-way integration between salesforce.com and United Way's in-house Microsoft SQL server database is aimed at eliminating costly maintenance and enabling easy sharing of data. Through Bluewolf's Integrator product, United Way will be able to take information on registrations, donations and volunteer work that it has captured through its Web site and automatically synchronize that information with Salesforce.

Additionally, Integrator is being employed to ensure United Way's latest membership data housed in Salesforce is easily viewable online through www.unitedway.org. Previously, the organization used custom Java code so the two software applications could share information.

Now, when local members of the United Way system can update information such as donor data, it is instantly updated in Salesforce at the United Way headquarters in Alexandria, Va., as well as for its 1,300 United Way members locally.

"Bluewolf enabled United Way to take an innovative approach to linking its salesforce.com's CRM application with its SQL server database, by using our software solution called the Integrator --eliminating the need for coding or heavy involvement from United Way's IT Team," said Lou Fox, chief architect of New York-based Bluewolf. "By adopting this innovative 'do-it-yourself' approach to their IT problem, United Way only needed minimal support from Bluewolf to set up and configuring their integrations jobs, enabling them to stay within their budget restrictions."
