VAR500 Conference: How To Weather Economic Storms
On June 2, Everything Channel will host the VAR500 Conference, a one-day exclusive event designed to help top-level executives from solution provider organizations compete effectively in today's business climate. Speaking at the event will be the CIO of the NYSE, Steve Rubinow; the CEO of Symantec, Enrique Salem, and the CIO of the United States Tennis Association, Larry Bonfante.
The conference, taking place at the Downtown Marriott in New York City, features networking opportunities to meet and share best practices with other solution provider executives, and top channel chiefs from leading technology companies. Speakers will offer insight and advice on how to create value for customers in the midst of a slow economy as well as on the importance of team building during bleak times.
For example, Bonfante will speak on "Transformational Leadership." The session will focus on the skills required to become the kind of IT executive who can transform an underperforming IT organization into a world-class business partner. Bonfante will offer a look at the mind-set, skills and qualities required not only to become a transformational leader but also to develop a culture of leadership which will ensure long-term sustainability.
After the day sessions, Everything Channel will honor a select few solution providers that have achieved excellence in the past year, and present a special award for Lifetime Achievement. The celebration—at the Cipriani Wall Street in the heart of the Financial District—brings together executives from VAR500 companies, sponsoring vendors, and Everything Channel's editorial and management teams. In addition, this year's dinner will feature former Hall of Fame Basketball Player and former U.S. Senator William Bradley.
