GE Access Helps Partners Get A Better Handle On Services

The Westminster, Colo.-based distributor launched the toolbox at its 14th annual New Frontiers Conference in Keystone, Colo. The toolbox includes access to information for active service contracts and notifications when renewal opportunities approach, said Frances Draper, vice president of the Sun Business Group at GE Access. The toolbox also creates a quote or options for renewal that can be sent directly to end users.

"This is important to resellers with smaller [service] contracts--$10,000 here, $15,000 there. That allows you to concentrate more on the big boys," Draper said. "In the past, the little ones may have fallen through the cracks. Now we provide them with an automated quote to help [close] those renewals."

The toolbox also includes GE Access's Services Resource Library, which features online training and sales tools for each phase of the services sales cycle.

"Services sales can be complex, with the various levels of pricing and options. All of that is tied together in the Services Resource Library," Draper said. "For example, you may get a renewal notice for $10,000 for a customer. But in reality, there are three more coming up for the same end user. The library helps with that situation."
