Transcript: This is Jennifer Follett for CRN, reporting from New York, where female executives from across the IT industry gathered on Dec. 2 for the kickoff of the Channel Company's Women of the Channel Leadership Summit.

After honoring some of the executives from this year's CRN Power 100 list, we turned our attention to Sandra Gault, founder and CEO of True Gault, which uses 3-D imaging technology to create customized high-fashion shoes. Gault, a former solution provider who's now known as the crazy shoe lady, says passion is a critical ingredient for entrepreneurship.

Dell Channel Chief Cheryl Cook shared the five Cs of her success, which include being competent, confident, competitive, collaborative and community-oriented.
