Qlik has named former Infoblox channel chief Chris Jones to be the new head of worldwide sales at the data analytics software developer.

As executive vice president of worldwide sales, Jones will be responsible for all of Qlik's global sales, including the company's partner and alliances operations and its OEM business.

Jones' appointment comes following a number of management changes at Qlik after private equity firm Thoma Bravo acquired the company in 2016 for $3 billion.

In January Qlik hired Mike Capone, previously chief operating officer at Medidata Solutions, as the company's new CEO. He replaced Lars Bjork, who left the company in October after 10 years as Qlik's CEO.

In December Qlik promoted Chris Moore, previously the company's vice president of channels, Americas, to be its new senior vice president of partners and alliances following the departure of channel chief Toni Adams.

Moore will report to Jones, according to the company.

Qlik is generally seen as being among the leaders in data visualization and analytics software: This year's Gartner Magic Quadrant for business intelligence and analytics platforms positioned Qlik in the Leaders quadrant. But that report also said Qlik has experienced slowed market momentum in the last year.

Jones has more than 25 years of global sales and senior management experience in the IT industry, including his year as chief partner officer for Infoblox, a developer of IT automation and security technology.

Prior to working at Infloblox Jones served more than a year as president of Americas sales and global partners at Polycom, where he led the collaboration technology company's go-to-market and sales strategies. He has also held management posts at Avaya, Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems and Proxim.

"As we focus on the enterprise and the power of analytics to enable digital transformation, Chris has the right experience to drive C-level relationships, grow revenue in competitive environments and support our global reseller partner and distribution channels," said CEO Capone in a statement. "With such a global sales footprint and world class partner network at Qlik, we look forward to Chris' leadership to best serve our customer and partner needs."
