Logicalis Plans To Buy Chilean Systems Integrator Coasin

Logicalas Group, the managed services division of Datatec, is expanding its operations in Chile and Peru with an agreement to purchase Coasin, a provider of information and communications technology in the region.

Logicalis has signed an agreement to acquire 100 percent of the issued share capital of Coasin Chile S.A. for a cash consideration of up to $20.2 million. The deal is subject to government approval, and the company said it hopes to complete the transaction in the third quarter of 2018.

’Coasin is one of the most established IT businesses in the region and will be a game-changer for our operations in Chile and Peru, allowing us to further consolidate our very strong position regionally," said Jens Montanana, Datatec's CEO ’We are pleased to welcome the Coasin team to the group.’

Coasin provides information and communications technology support, networking and point-of-sale solutions in mining and financial services. Logicalis said those capabilities will help existing multinational clients and expand its own services into new customer groups.
