Former Forsythe VP Joins Rival Logicalis

McDowell, who left Forsythe in July in the wake of a reorganization at the Skokie, Ill.-based solution provider, will be responsible for all of Logicalis' vendor partner relationships, including IBM, Cisco Systems, EMC and Hewlett-Packard. Logicalis and Forsythe are two of HP's largest North American enterprise solution providers.

McDowell, who reports to Logicalis CEO Mike Cox, said he will also have a key role in integrating recently acquired IBM Business Partner STI into Logicalis' operations.

"The experience I bring to Logicalis adds a lot of depth to an already experienced management team," McDowell said. "This shows a commitment on Logicalis' part to continue to grow through acquisitions and key hires."

In addition to last month's acquisition of STI, a $90 million IBM Premier partner, Logicalis is close to wrapping up a deal to acquire an HP enterprise solution provider, Cox said.
