Access Distribution Ups The Marketing Ante

The MarketSmart program lets solution providers tap into the Westminster, Colo.-based distributor's internal marketing teams and network of marketing professionals.

Qualifying Sun partners will be able to leverage Access Distribution business development managers and MarketSmart project managers to help with planning and project management, according to the distributor.

"Companies must use every resource available to help differentiate themselves and build sustainable relationships that extend beyond a single sales transaction," said Frances Draper, vice president of the Sun Business Group at Access Distribution. "MarketSmart gives our Sun customers a way to tap into the power of seasoned marketing [professionals] and high-quality programs. Our goal is to help our customers develop a marketing strategy, not just a mailer."

MarketSmart offers funding and complementary services by tiers based on a solution provider's 2004 Sun revenue. The services available include marketing project management, strategy planning and development services, corporate branding assistance, customer database development and demand-generation support, according to Access Distribution.

There is a complementary program for new Sun solution providers that includes a Business Accelerator On-Boarding program, packaged and customized marketing programs, personalized market planning assistance and the nomination of five end-user accounts for market profiling through Access Distribution's Prospector Program.
