Santech Micro Group Joins GTDC

SMG, the largest privately held distributor in the Nordic region, becomes the 13th member of the council, which aims to resolve channel issues with vendors, such as ship-and-debit processes and demand-generation activities.

Other members are Access Distribution, Actebis, Agilysys, Arrow Electronics, Avnet, Bell Microproducts, Ingram Micro, Magirus AG, Scribona, SiS Technologies Group Asia, Synnex and Tech Data.

"Using the GTDC as a forum for cooperative discussion, companies like SMG can uniformly address issues of common concern and espouse a unified message to the world--vendors, resellers and financial experts alike--about the important role distributors play in the smooth delivery of IT products to market," said Tim Curran, CEO of the GTDC.

SMG specializes in PCs, peripherals, components and supplies and operates in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
