Cape Clear Unveils Upgrade of Web Services Platform

The new capability in Cape Clear 6 uses the Business Process Execution Language 1.1 standard, officials with the Waltham, Mass.-based, company said. In addition, the upgrade introduces support for Web Services-Reliable Messaging, an industry standard that enables guaranteed messaging over the Internet, and service-oriented integration for large-scale databases.

Cape Clear 6 is a lightweight service-oriented integration platform built on extensible markup language (XML) technology and web services standards. The product is meant to enable rapid integration of applications and data, and to simplify the development and management of business processes from those integrated systems, according to company officials.

Cape Clear 6 is scheduled to ship in January 2005 on IBM AIX, Linux, Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP and Sun Solaris.
