WiMAX Forum Sets Certification Timetable

Specifically, it announced that it has selected a Spanish organization, Cetecom Spain, to be its official laboratory for certifying the interoperability of WiMAX products. The next step is to prepare the test lab for the testing, which the organization said it expected to begin in July.

"The lion's share of the work has been done and we are in the home stretch," WiMAX Forum president Ron Resnick said in a statement.

The head of the lab, Fernando Hardasmal, said that the testing facility should start accepting vendor equipment for certification testing in July.
