EPAM ranks No. 35 on the 2019 CRN Solution Provider 500 list.

Competentum provides teaching and learning platforms, interactive content for web and mobile users, digital content authoring and review, accessibility for content and platforms, as well as education-focused data science, virtual reality and augmented reality technology.

In addition to K-12 and higher-education clients, the company also provides corporate training services to business clients.

Competentum's ShareKnowledge platform is built on Microsoft SharePoint, and provides a learning management system, reporting and dashboards, and flexible content management. It offers flexible versioning controls, full drill-down reporting, and the ability to main SharePoint and Active Directory settings and security permissions.

EPAM said it plans to take advantage of ShareKnowledge by making it part of the solution blueprint for its risk and compliance practice to help businesses manage governance, compliance and enterprise risk engagements.

EPAM did not respond to a CRN request for further information on the acquisition.

However, in a prepared statement, Oleg Vilchinski, vice president and global head of the business information solutions practice at EPAM, said that EPAM is engaging with clients across a full services and platform life cycle from content strategy and design to full-scale digital, physical and virtual experiences.

"By integrating our consulting, design and delivery practices with Competentum’s deep content expertise, we can help our customers create new value models underpinned by better experiences and delivered through new educational technologies and digital learning platforms," Vilchinski said.
