Nutanix’s Alvarez, Veeam’s Rooney Out To Early Leads In Channel Madness Semifinals

Fierce competitors are testing their mettle as the 2021 CRN Channal Madness Field of Four fight for a spot in the championship round.

The semifinal round of the 2021 CRN Channel Madness Tournament of Chiefs is in full swing as the Field of Four fight to make it to the championship round.

Here’s a look at how Round 4 is shaping up.

Infrastructure regional champion Christian Alvarez of Nutanix has come out strong to gain a solid lead over Hardware regional winner Donna Grothjan of Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company. Alvarez is ahead with 84 percent of the vote to Grothjan’s 16 percent.

Meanwhile, Cloud regional winner and reigning Channel Madness Champion Kevin Rooney of Veeam Software is currently edging out Security regional champion Frank Rauch of Check Point Software Technologies as the two meet in the semifinal round for the second year in a row. Rooney is ahead with 55 percent of the vote to Rauch’s 45 percent.
