RJ Young Expands To Virginia With Ethos Technologies Buy

RJ Young, a Nashville, Tenn.-based business technology solutions provider with locations in nine states, has acquired Ethos Technologies in a bid to expand into Virginia.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. CRN has reached out to both RJ Young and Ethos Technologies for comment.

The acquisition of Salem, Va.-based Ethos Technologies marks the ninth acquisition by RJ Young in the past five years, according to a press release provided by the company. It will expand RJ Young’s technology side of the business – furthering its expertise as an MSP to deliver IT services to clients on a larger scale. Ethos Technologies’ team of 26 employees will join the 600 team members of RJ Young.

RJ Young, founded in 1955, provides technology solutions to businesses. The company, which made CRN’s 2022 MSP 500 list, services include helping small to enterprise-level organizations transition into modern workplaces and increase productivity with comprehensive managed IT solutions, office equipment and technology, business process outsourcing and digital communications.

Ethos Technologies, founded in 1996, provides cyber defense, co-managed IT, and office technology equipment. Headquartered in Roanoke, Ethos Technologies helps businesses across Virginia with the quality of their office technologies and IT services.

Since the launch of RJ Young’s technology vertical in 2019, the company has grown that side of the business by 360 percent, according to the press release. Last year, RJ Young introduced its one-stop for technology solution called the Modern Office – the company’s response to the market’s evolving needs amid workplace shifts initiated by the pandemic. Since then, the company has gone through a rebrand complete with a new website and logo.
