Thrive Acquires InCare Technologies To Expand Into Southern U.S.

‘The InCare acquisition signals our strategy to expand into the South where we expect to grow our employee base significantly over the next several years and create a large presence over the next three to five years,’ says Thrive CEO Rob Stephenson.

MSP Thrive has acquired InCare Technologies to further deliver managed cybersecurity, collaboration and cloud services in the southern U.S.

“[InCare Technologies is a] very operationally mature organization with long-term clients, a strong management team and experienced technical and sales professionals that provide Thrive with an ideal platform for expansion in the southern United States,” said Rob Stephenson, CEO of Foxborough, Mass.-based Thrive. “[And] philosophically, we are very much aligned with a ‘customer-first’ mentality and an employee-centric culture.”

InCare Technologies is a nationally recognized MSP and is known for its work in the health-care, local government, education and SMB sectors. Based in Birmingham, Ala., the MSP also has offices in Tennessee and Mississippi and offers services such as IT support, cybersecurity, networking, technology outsourced management and more.

“Since our inception, InCare Technologies has been dedicated to helping our customers stay productive and secure as they look to streamline their IT operations,” Brian Walker, CEO of InCare Technologies, said in a statement. “By partnering with Thrive, we’ll advance that cause even further by improving the way we service our clients via advanced technologies, innovation and improved efficiencies. Our team has been impressed by Thrive’s people, processes and platform, but most importantly by their commitment to customer service and their own employees. This makes them a perfect match to continue our legacy and workplace culture as a leader in our market.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. About 60 InCare employees, plus new head count for expansion, are coming to Thrive in the acquisition.

“We feel that this acquisition will allow us to expand not only in Birmingham, Memphis and Jackson, but will also allow Thrive to introduce our NextGen managed services platform into Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte and Raleigh Durham, Charleston and other key cities in the South via the InCare management team and talented employee base,” Stephenson said.

InCare will operate under the name InCare, a Thrive company, and then move to the Thrive brand once the integration is complete in six to 12 months.

Thrive is a 600-employee global technology outsourcing provider with large offices in major metropolitan markets, Stephenson said. The InCare acquisition signals the MSP’s strategy to expand into the South where it expects to grow its employee base significantly over the next several years and create a large presence over the next three to five years.

“IT is becoming more and more complex, and the advanced Thrive platform is designed to help SMBs with no internal IT teams or midmarket firms with less than 50 internal IT team members to become more successful and safely achieve better technology ROI,” he said. “We service our clients with regional support pods, augmented by centralized 24x7x365 specialized teams, providing the best of both worlds when it comes to white-glove, proactive concierge-type customer service.”
