Channel Beat: HP-Autonomy Saga Continues

An extensive investigation has found that before HP acquired Autonomy, the software company engaged in what HP is calling " improper transactions with certain value-added resellers to create the appearance of software licensing revenue at the end of each quarter. "

In a statement, HP told CRN that it knew nothing of Autonomy's alleged accounting misrepresentations before the acquisition. HP says the investigation revealed some fabricated transactions with no real end user.

Application delivery controller manufacturer A10 Networks filed an initial public offering this week, seeking $100 million. The San Jose, Calif.-based company did not disclose a target price for the IPO nor the number of shares it expects to sell. A10 Networks currently has 240 North Americanchannel partners and 550 partners worldwide.

Microsoft officially rebranded its cloud service, SkyDrive, to OneDrive this week. The name change ends a legal battle with British Sky Broadcasting Group over the SkyDrive name. Microsoft rolled out several incentives with the rebranding, along with OneDrive For Business, which is aimed at giving employees the ability to store, sync and collaborate on files across multiple devices.
