HPE First To Market With Persistent Memory Server Platform

Hewlett Packard Enterprise won the race to market with its persistent memory server platform offering, the first server platform of its kind in the industry.

HPE Vice President Tim Peters calls the technology ’incredibly fast’ and ’incredibly influential.’

It offers unprecedented performance for database applications and data-intensive workloads, delivering database transaction processing at speeds 4X faster than with flash storage technology.

’We’re the only ones delivering [this technology] today, and we’re leading innovation,’ Peters said.

Peters added that when HPE partners bring this solution to customers, they’ll be ’standing out beyond anyone else.’

’It’s the path that takes us into the machine vision of the future,’ Peters said.

The persistent memory technology promises less latency in terms of retrieving information and faster business outcomes, particularly around large blocks of data.

It’s now offered as a standard option on DL rack servers, and HPE will continue to roll it out across product lines such as Apollo.
