Oracle and NetSuite executives are still hammering out details around channel programs following Oracle's $9.3 billion acquisition of the company, which closed last month.

During a live-streamed conference, Oracle Co-CEO Mark Hurd said there's little overlap in the two companies' product sets.

NetSuite has maintained a strong channel presence, and Hurd told partners Oracle will double down on partner training going forward.

Hurd said Oracle will also invest heavily in the development of future NetSuite products, as NetSuite becomes a global business unit of the company.

Oracle has not addressed the future of NetSuite's rich partner margins after the merger.

More than 1 million Google accounts came under a data breach attack this week, according to cybersecurity vendor Check Point Software Technologies.

Hackers attempted to steal data from mobile devices through a new type of Android malware that the vendor is calling Gooligan.

The Gooligan malware infects users who download it through installation of an infected app onto an Android device, or through malicious links in phishing emails.

Check Point is offering a free tool online to let users determine whether they've suffered a breach.

This week CompuCom promoted former president of Lenovo Latin America Dan Stone to CEO.

Stone joined CompuCom nearly two years ago, and has since focused on the end-user enablement division.

CompuCom recently bought the IoT division of Extensys, and plans to launch what it calls the first-ever artificial intelligence-based managed service to prevent midmarket data center downtime.
