CRNtv Digs In: What’s The Best Kept Secret About Dell Technologies?

It’s no secret that Dell Technologies is seeing huge growth across its portfolio, yet what many don’t know is that partners are playing a big role in that success.

It’s no secret that Dell Technologies is seeing huge growth across its portfolio. The Round Rock, Texas-based company is No. 1 in servers, storage and open networking; yet, what many people don’t know is that partners are playing a big role in making that happen.

“We started with the idea that we were going directly with our customers. Most of our servers today do go through partners. Partners are so valuable to the Dell ecosystem,” said Chad Fenner, senior director of server product management at Dell Technologies.

Servers are just one example of the huge opportunity before partners as customers remain laser-focused on digital transformation, said Channel Chief Joyce Mullen.

“We are in an unbelievable position right now because the market is so clearly focused on digital transformation. Customers feel like they don’t have a choice but to think about how to use data differently and how to modernize their infrastructure because if they don’t, they will be competing against someone who will,” said Mullen.

At Dell Technologies World 2019, Dell launched its newly rebranded Dell Technologies Partner Program in a push to help partners take advantage of the full portfolio. It’s just one of the many ways Dell is working to reward its partners. In an interview with CRNtv, Jonathan Seckler, Senior Director of Product Marketing, discussed another initiative that may come as a surprise to some.

“One of the best kept secrets I think about Dell is when we work with a partner or a customer to do a case study and we get it published on the web, one of the things we do to thank them is we will actually make a donation in their name to a charity of their choice as a thank you for working on a case study,” said Seckler.
