WATCH: Lenovo Intelligent Devices Executive On New Tools To Win Over VARs

Lenovo’s Jennifer Downes discusses new marketing tools that have allowed Lenovo to expand its reach from MSPs to VARs.

Lenovo has unveiled a new set of marketing tools for the channel that promise to take the work “off the shoulders of partners.” Backed with research, Lenovo’s Jennifer Downes tells CRNtv that the tool ultimately give partners more surety in the marketplace.

“As you know, Lenovo has made a big transformation in its channel business with more of a focus on resources and investments with those partners committed to growing with us,” said Downes, chief marketing officer at Lenovo North America Intelligent Devices Group.

“What that has done for us in marketing is it has given birth to new programs that are designed to address the various needs of our partners, allowing us to expand our reach. So, where we have we historically worked with MSPs, we are now working with VARs.”

Among the new tools is a campaign kit that crafts campaign and assets for the customer.

“We have a worldwide marketing entity at Lenovo that does a lot of great research. They talk to our customers, understand the buyer journey, understand their pain points, really understand how they consume content,” said Downes. “So, that’s a ton of work that we are taking off the shoulders of our partners, making it much easier for them and it’s also giving more surety in terms of what assets will work in the market.”
