20 Tech Companies Hiring In The IT Channel: August 2023

Zoom, Red Hat, OpenText, DXC Technology, Syntax and Mission Cloud are among the companies to list open jobs this month for channel-related roles.

This month, DXC Technology, Syntax and Mission Cloud are among the solution providers to list open positions while Zoom, Red Hat and OpenText are among the vendors to list open positions for channel-related roles.

CRN has looked at open listings on LinkedIn that would bring new talent into the channel— either by working with a partner or by working with a vendor to support partners.

Open Jobs In The IT Channel

Open roles include:

*A DXC principal solution architect making at least $135,000 a year

*An SAP account manager at Syntax

*A Mission Cloud generative artificial intelligence (AI) consultant

*A Zoom lead product manager for AI applications who can make at least $157,300 a year

*A Red Hat vice president of services for North America

*An OpenText regional vice president for managed services provider (MSP) channel sales

All the hiring comes despite multiple tech giants cutting their employee rosters amid growing inflation, the possibility of a recession in the near future and tightening IT budgets after high demand for technology during the height of the pandemic.

Microsoft, ClickUp, Anaplan, Ingram Micro and Cisco are among the tech businesses to announce or conduct layoffs in recent months.

Here are some of the latest job openings in the channel.

Zoom

Zoom has multiple job listings on LinkedIn seeking candidates with partner know-how.

Open jobs at the San Jose, Calif.-based communication and collaboration tools vendor include:

*Contact center solutions engineering manager who can make at least $168,700 a year – candidates should understand Zoom partners, ecosystem partners, products and applications.

*Lead product manager for AI applications who can make at least $157,300 a year – The manager will have to connect regularly with Zoom’s customers, partners and users to understand goals and needs and translate those into deliverables

*Contact-center-as-a-service (CCaaS) sales specialist who can make at least $160,000 a year – the hire will develop go-to-market (GTM) co-sell strategies with internal Zoom employees, alliance partners and channel partners

About 32 percent of Zoom’s overall sales come through the channel, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.

Red Hat

Red Hat has several openings on LinkedIn that are related to channel partners.

The Raleigh, N.C.-based IBM subsidiary and open source tools vendor’s listings include:

*Automation sales specialist for North American public sector customers – candidates should have the ability to lead a cross-functional team of internal and partner ecosystem professionals through complex sales cycles

*Business development manager – candidates should have successful experience working with strategic alliances and channel partners

*Vice president of services for North America – candidates should have experience working with external partners and ecosystems to help customers and scale businesses

About 79 percent of Red Hat’s overall sales come through the channel, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.

OpenText

OpenText seeks a regional vice president for MSP channel sales, according to one LinkedIn listing. The position pays at least $195,000 a year.

The Canada-based information management platform vendor – whose subsidiaries include Carbonite, Webroot, Micro Focus, Zix and AppRiver – will task the new hire with leading MSP and remote monitoring and management (RMM) go-to-market (GTM) strategies for the cybersecurity small and midsize business (SMB) segment.

The hire will drive new and cross-sell sales of OpenText’s cybersecurity portfolio, which is made of data security, data protection and Microsoft products. The role reports to the senior vice president (SVP) of cybersecurity SMB Americas sales, according to the listing.

The hire will work with the channel marketing team to create customized deliverables for partner-specific needs in the market. The hire will establish strong relationships with partners’ executive leadership teams, perform quarterly business reviews with key strategic partners and drive company programs adoption among assigned partners.

OpenText seeks candidates with a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience with sales management, leadership, partners and customers, preferably in cybersecurity.

OpenText has about 20,000 channel partners worldwide, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.

Odoo

Odoo has a listing on LinkedIn for a channel sales manager in San Francisco who is fluent in Spanish. The new hire can make at least $70,000 a year.

The Belgium-based business applications vendor will task this manager with working with partners to pursue leads, close deals and evaluate project requirements for feasibility, according to the listing.

The hire will train partners on effective methods for selling and implementing Odoo software, coach inexperienced partners and collaborate on tailored end customer packages.

Candidates should have at least a year of experience in sales and a bachelor’s degree.

Odoo’s partner program includes consultants, integrators and other partner business types.

Snyk

Snyk wants candidates with channel partner experience to apply for an open position as an account director, according to a LinkedIn listing.

The Boston-based cybersecurity company wants candidates who can work with partners, leadership, customer success, marketing, product and finance to drive deals and make customers successful, according to the listing.

The hire will work on end-to-end sales and success cycles for prospective and existing enterprise customers. The hire will also prospect, sell and retain customers wile growing accounts in the Pacific Northwest territory.

Candidates should have at least five years of experience with enterprise-level accounts and $1 million-plus annual recurring revenue (ARR) transactions.

Snyk’s partner program includes channel partners, global system integrators, consultants and other partner business types.

## Cyberhaven

Cyberhaven has a listing on LinkedIn for a product marketing manager in San Jose, Calif., who will work with sales and channel partners.

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based security vendor wants this manager to analyze metrics and create materials and strategies that improve performance at each stage of the sales process.

The hire will work with demand generation professionals on events, email, direct mail and advertising programs, among other tasks, according to the listing.

Candidates should have at least three years of product marketing experience at a growth stage software-as-a-service (SaaS) company and marketing to cybersecurity, engineering, product, IT and other technical personas.

Cyberhaven’s partner program includes system integrators, managed security services providers (MSSPs) and other partner types.

SailPoint

SailPoint has a few job openings related to partners on LinkedIn.

The Austin, Texas-based identity security vendor seeks the following:

*A software sales representative – the hire will work with channel partners, subject experts and outside sales executives to penetrate new accounts and cross-sell into existing SailPoint accounts.

*A field marketing manager for public sector and health care – candidates should understand channel partners, partner marketing, lifecycle management, campaigns and paid media

*A global manager of education services for software sales and GTM – the hire will establish an Authorized Training Partner (ATP) program and execute a partner recruitment strategy

*Senior sales executive for the state, local and education (SLED) market – the hire will work with channel partners to sell to manage accounts in the Dakotas, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota and Nebraska

SailPoint’s partner program includes channel partners, implementation partners, services partners, advisory partners and other partner business types.

Cohesity

Cohesity has a couple of partner-related positions open, according to LinkedIn.

The San Jose, Calif.-based data management and security vendor seeks a vice president of federal sales who can make at least $195,200 a year, according to a listing.

The VP will report to Cohesity’s chief revenue officer and work with the channel and alliances, marketing, product and engineering and professional services teams.

Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience building and leading sales teams focused on U.S. federal government accounts and working with channel partners.

Cohesity also has an opening for an account executive making at least $111,600 a year, according to a listing.

The hire will work with several channel partners on forecasting, customer satisfaction and closing business on a quarterly and annual basis.

Candidates should have at least five years of experience with enterprise account selling and at least seven years of customer-facing sales – plus an understanding of collaborating with technology partners, according to the listing.

Cohesity has a partner program for MSPs, resellers and other partner business types.

VMware

VMware has a variety of positions related to the channel that are on LinkedIn.

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based cloud vendor has listings for the following:

*Client executive – the hire will work with San Francisco Bay Area resellers, distributors, hosting partners and other partner business types to identify, develop, accelerate, up-sell and close transactions

*Senior product marketing manager for end-user computing (EUC) – candidates should have at least five years of experience with distributors, service providers, MSPs, resellers and channel marketing

*Senior partner business manager for global system integrators (GSIs) – the hire will achieve revenue targets through strategic business partnerships and implement joint-selling strategies for the security products and services portfolio

*Carbon Black senior sales engineer – the hire will work with the federal field salespeople and channel partners

Coro

On LinkedIn, Coro has a listing for a channel manager who can make at least $110,000 a year.

The cybersecurity vendor – which has offices in Chicago, New York, Israel and London – wants candidates with existing agent partners to help grow its partner program, according to the listing.

The manager will work with master agents, sub-agents, MSPs and resellers. The manager will also train resellers and recruit partners to the ecosystem.

Candidates should have at least three years of experience with the channel and resellers as well as a bachelor’s degree.

Coro also seeks a channel marketing campaign manager who can make at least $85,000 a year and a partner growth manager.

The channel marketing campaign manager will work with MSPs, resellers, master agents and sub-agents on marketing campaigns and demand generation. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, according to the listing.

The partner growth manager will work to expand Coro products and services within the MSP base, according to the listing. The manager will work to meet quota from cross-selling with new and existing partners. Candidates should have at least two years of field and inside sales experience with MSPs and at least three years of software-as-a-service (SaaS) experience.

SoftwareOne

On LinkedIn, SoftwareOne has multiple listings for open roles.

The company – which has offices in places including Chicago, Milwaukee, Nashville and New York and is No. 43 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – seeks candidates for the following positions:

*East Coast SAP business development manager who can make at least $130,000 a year – the hire will help grow the business pipeline in the U.S. and Canada markets and weigh in on portfolio development

*Strategic account manager – candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience

*Global creative director on the East Coast or in Europe – candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, at least eight years of experience managing people and at least 10 years of creative and design experience

Cloudnexa

Cloudnexa has an opening for a level-two Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud support engineer, according to a listing on LinkedIn.

The Newtown Square, Pa.-based company – No. 396 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – seeks candidates with at least two years of experience as a systems administrator, security engineer or equivalent position, according to the listing.

Candidates also need at least two years of experience consulting with customers and working with Linux, Unix and Windows. They should know AWS offerings including WorkSpaces, CloudFront, CloudWatch and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and understand running and maintaining a 24-hour internet-facing production environment.

The hire will work on customers’ technical issues, working 10-hour shifts four days a week. The hire will conduct security reviews, patching, deployments and AWS account administration. The hire will find cost savings, security gaps and automation opportunities, according to the listing.

Sikich

Sikich has multiple open positions on LinkedIn.

Blue Mantis

Blue Mantis, formerly known as GreenPages, has multiple open positions posted on LinkedIn.

The Portsmouth, N.H.-based company – a member of CRN’s 2023 MSP500 – seeks candidates for roles including:

*A SLED account executive – candidates should have at least five years of experience selling IT infrastructure, managed services, professional services and other technology offerings

*A VMware administrator – candidates should have at least three years of experience with VMware technologies, including vCenter, and understand Windows and Linux

*A desktop support engineer – candidates should have at least a year of experience with PC hardware and networking plus knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows 7, 10 and 11

The Canada-based company – a member of CRN’s 2023 MSP500 – seeks candidates with at least 10 years of experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and at least five years of experience with process improvements, transformations, change management and day-to-day delivery management.

The hire will manage contractual service delivery commitments and service improvements while maintaining cost control, among other tasks, according to the listing.

Compucom

On LinkedIn, Compucom has a couple open roles available for job candidates.

The Fort Mill, S.C.-based company – a member of CRN’s 2023 MSP500 – seeks a level-two field technician who can make at least $18 an hour, according to a listing.

Candidates should have at least a year of IT technical support experience, a driver’s license, a Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ certification and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Candidates should know Windows, Linux, Unix and other operating systems. They may need to climb up to 25 feet, according to the listing.

The technician will provide technical support for a national home improvement retail client, providing prompt action and resolving problems. The technician will conduct documentation, tracking and monitoring of the issues.

Compucom also wants a sales executive, according to a separate listing.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, experience with leading teams and delivering IT products and an understanding of social media platforms and digital tools.

The executive will work to build new client business within an assigned territory and customer base to meet or exceed sales quotas.

The hire will perform cost-benefit-needs analyses, create proposals, conduct sales demonstrations and negotiate with customers, according to the listing.

DXC Technology

KAI Partners

KAI Partners seeks a program manager who can make at least $121,000 a year, according to a LinkedIn listing.

The Roseville, Calif.-based MSP wants candidates with at least five years of experience in program management and health care. Candidates should have Agile project management certifications as well.

The hire will conduct meeting updates and evaluations, create reporting and communication materials, manage projects and perform other related duties, according to the listing.

Mission Cloud

Mission Cloud has some open job listings on LinkedIn.

The Los Angeles-based company – No. 95 on CRN’s 2023 Solution Provider 500 – seeks a generative AI consultant, according to a listing.

Candidates should have experience in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar AI frameworks. They should know generative adversarial networks (GANs), variational autoencoders (VAEs) and other deep learning architectures and generative models.

The consultant is expected to get AWS solution architect and machine learning specialty certifications soon after getting hired, according to the listing.

The hire will facilitate generative AI implementation design sessions with clients and the Mission Cloud team. The hire will work with data scientists, engineers and domain experts to integrate generative AI into existing systems or products and contribute to the solution provider’s marketing materials, among other tasks.

Mission Cloud also wants an AWS business development representative who can make at least $60,000 a year, according to a separate job listing.

Candidates should have at least a year of experience in IT sales. The hire should have an AWS cloud practitioner certification within 30 days of employment.
