20 Tech Companies Hiring In The IT Channel: October 2023

This month, Ahead, Cognizant and Continental Resources are among the solution providers to list open positions while Salesforce, Decisions and Wiz are among the vendors to list open positions for channel-related roles.
CRN has looked at open listings on LinkedIn that would bring talent into the channel— either by working with a partner or by working with a vendor to support partners.
Open Jobs In The IT Channel
Open roles include:
*A workspace solutions pre-sales specialist at Ahead
*A Microsoft Azure lead for generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) who can make at least $160,000 a year at Cognizant
*A junior accountant at ConRes
*A Tableau-focused partner sales manager (PSM) who can make at least $132,240 at Salesforce
*A channel sales director at Decisions
*A majors solutions engineer at Wiz
All the hiring comes despite multiple tech giants cutting their employee rosters amid growing inflation, the possibility of a recession in the near future and tightening IT budgets after high demand for technology during the height of the pandemic.
Here are some of the latest job openings in the channel.
Cato Networks has a listing on LinkedIn for an alliances director who needs a “strong understanding” of Amazon Web Services’ “go-to-market organization structure including partner, channel, account, and marketing teams.”
The Israel-based security vendor wants this director to “manage participation in all applicable AWS partner programs and secure access to higher tiers” and “map, prioritize and track potential partners,” according to the listing.
Candidates should have “3+ years of experience in business development” and “6+ Years working with AWS Marketplace at a SaaS company.”
Cato also seeks a regional sales director for the Houston area who will have a “deep understanding of a channel centric go to market approach” with skills in “establishing and leveraging new and existing strategic alliance partner relationships.”
The vendor also has a spot for a channel account manager (CAM) in the Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas (TOLA) area.
The manager “is responsible for pipeline, new logo and revenue growth through highly qualified and successful partnerships in a designated geography,” according to the listing. The manager will “develop highly productive Solution Provider, Value-Added Reseller (VAR), and Managed Service Provider (MSP) relationships so that partners become self-sufficient in marketing, selling, deploying and managing the Cato Solution.”
Cato has about 1,700 worldwide channel partners, about 700 of them in North America, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.
CrowdStrike seeks a corporate channel account manager to “work with channel partners and Sales Managers to manage sales cycle from beginning to end,” according to a LinkedIn listing.
The Austin, Texas-based security vendor wants candidates who can “strategize with our channel partners to drive net-new business” and who bring “2+ years of full sales cycle and/or channel experience, generating net new business for a Saas, Cloud, and/or Security solution.”
Crowdstrike also seeks a regional sales manager who can make at least $110,000 a year to work with field sales, channel, marketing and other divisions within CrowdStrike, according to a separate listing.
The manager will “work cooperatively with partners to leverage their established account presence and relationships,” according to the listing. Candidates should have “10+ years of solution selling experience with significant experience selling software security and/or infrastructure security products to corporate enterprises.”
Veeam seeks an inside sales representative focused on small and midsize businesses (SMBs) in the Western U.S., according to a LinkedIn listing.
The Columbus, Ohio-based data protection and ransomware recovery vendor will task this rep with driving “key business and technical benefits mapped to the end user requirements from partner deal registrations, qualified opportunities and lead generation lists” and coordinating “sales activities with partners and resellers to identify and close new business,” according to the listing.
Veeam wants candidates who have “experience driving the sales process across internal and external teams (channel, engineering, marketing, field)” and “2+ years business-to-business (B2B) sales experience of high-tech products/services.”
The vendor also wants a U.S-based manager for Latin America renewals who can speak Portuguese and handle customer and partner escalations, according to a listing.
Cisco subsidiary AppDynamics has an opening for an enterprise sales representative for the health care and life sciences industry who “will constantly generate pipeline using creative techniques, tools, team collaboration, industry events and channel partners.”
The San Francisco-based application performance management (APM) tools vendor wants candidates with “5+ years of proven experience evangelizing technology, with a focus on SaaS and disruptive cloud technologies” and a “consistent track record of over-achievement; net new logo accomplishments; and keen understanding of how to leverage partner relationships.”
About 89 percent of AppDynamics’ overall sales come through the channel, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.
Alteryx has an opening for a senior principal business development professional focused on the state, local and education (SLED) market.who has “deep knowledge of both direct and channel sales business achievement,” according to the LinkedIn listing.
The Irvine, Calif.-based data analytics tools vendor will task this hire with “creating, validating, documenting, training, recruiting partnerships, forming alliances, while aligning SE team, marketing, sales ops, legal and all SLED aligned employees in support of 20+ distinct strategies and corresponding sales motions.”
The hire will work with solution partners, distributors, system integrators, resellers and other partner types, according to the listing.
Alteryx has about 400 worldwide channel partners, according to CRN’s 2023 Channel Chiefs.
SecurityScorecard has a listing on LinkedIn for a vice president of channel sales to “build upon our channel-led strategy, sales model, and culture,” according to the LinkedIn listing.
The New York-based cybersecurity ratings and resilience vendor will task this VP with “close collaboration with sales, marketing, services, and training/enablement teams to elevate our existing channel partner ecosystem with the goal of achieving a 100% channel-focused go-to-market model.”
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, according to the listing.
SecurityScorecard also seeks a vice president of revenue marketing who will lead channel marketing, demand generation, field marketing and other efforts.
The VP will “manage relationships with channel partners and develop co-marketing initiatives” and “create channel-specific marketing programs to drive partner success and revenue growth,” according to the LinkedIn listing.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and “5-7 years of experience in revenue-focused marketing roles, with a track record of driving revenue growth,” according to the listing.

The San Francisco-based customer relationship management (CRM) software vendor’s openings include:
*An alliances partner account manager who can make at least $125,720 a year in New York or California and will work “with existing MuleSoft Alliances and Channels partners in the region, developing new Partner relationships and proactively working with the MuleSoft direct Sales team(primarily along with a host of additional cross functional peers”
*A partner sales manager (PSM) focused on Salesforce subsidiary Tableau who can make at least $132,240 and will develop “partnerships with our Strategic Consulting Partners and ISV Partners”

Salesforce has more than 11,000 partners worldwide, according to the vendor.
Decisions has a listing on LinkedIn for a senior director of channel sales.
The Virginia Beach, Va.-based automation platform vendor wants a director who will “be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue through our channel partners and drive successful partnerships,” according to the listing.
The director will “identify, onboard, and nurture strategic channel partners to expand market reach and drive revenue growth” and “provide leadership and support to channel partners, ensuring they have the necessary resources, tools, and information to effectively promote and sell Decisions’ offerings,” among other tasks.
Decisions partners include CGI, Wipro, Perficient, PwC and SHI, according to the vendor.
Wiz wants candidates with an “ability to deliver world class demonstrations and training experience to our channel customers” for a majors solutions engineer position, according to a LinkedIn listing.
The New York-based security vendor will taks this engineer with “supporting our Major Accounts prospects and customers, reporting to the Majors Solutions Engineer Manager,” according to the listing.
The engineer will serve as a “trusted advisor for all matters related to cloud security across AWS, Azure, and GCP.”
On LinkedIn, Proofpoint has a listing for a senior pricing analyst, with the listing noting that “quantitative experience with both SaaS and on-prem pricing models, as well as channel pricing programs and quarterly promotions is a plus.”
The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based security vendor seeks an analyst who can “lead projects cross-functionally and optimally communicate to all upstream/downstream partners to ensure understanding of strategy, project plan, and impacts,” according to the listing.
Candidates should have “6 + years in pricing, business operations, sales operations, or business analytics in enterprise software” and experience with Salesforce, Excel and Python, among other technologies.
Proofpoint also has an opening for a senior named account manager for the SLED industry in the Arkansas and Oklahoma area.
