OS33 Gives Cloud Computing Providers On-Ramp

OS33 came out of stealth mode in November with an MSP-focused cloud platform that lets service providers offer full-featured hosted cloud computing to their clients. The Brooklyn, N.Y.-based OS33 states that its mission is to break down the barriers MSPs face when trying to implement and deliver multi-tenant cloud IT services by offering a turnkey cloud computing service for MSPs. It lets cloud computing providers access an unlimited supply of cloud-based infrastructure and turn it into business-ready Web and Windows-based applications.

With its quick start program, OS33 looks to give new MSP partners and cloud computing providers a branded demo environment that can be up and running within 24 hours while also providing instant access to its hosted IT automation cloud platform that lets them go-to-market with cloud computing offerings immediately, said OS33 president and CTO Jacob Kazakevich.

"It's optimized to get partners on the platform selling quickly," Kazakevich said, adding that the number of cloud computing opportunities for MSPs is "overwhelming."

The OS33 Quick Start Program gives MSPs a complete cloud-based service delivery platform along with marketing and sales materials. Partners can start with a branded environment that gives them access to OS33's multitenant cloud and dedicated application server resources. Kazakevich said Quick Start is the foundation for conducting proof-of-concept trials for clients' custom applications, while also enabling MSPs to conduct real-time demos with existing and prospective clients.

"They can take their client-base and start offering cloud-based hosted IT services on our turnkey cloud platform," Kazakevich said.

For MSPs, the Quick Start Program requires no upfront investment or long-term commitment. It costs MSPs $500 per month and is available on a month-to-month bases. Kazakevich said cloud computing providers can transition to a production environment once they activate their first live client and start delivering cloud-based, hosted IT on OS33's cloud platform.

Cloud computing providers and partners that sign on via the Quick start Program get OS33's cloud-based Infrastructure-as-a-Service; the company's training curriculum; sales presentations, videos and other marketing materials; sales tools like a price configurator and ROI calculator; evaluation and free demo licenses; vendor volume licensing for VMware, Citrix and Microsoft; and free 24x7 support and SLAs.

Kazakevich said that OS33 hopes to have 30 to 40 MSPs in its partner stable by the end of the first quarter of 2011 and will continue with a go-to-market that is 100 percent MSP focused.

"Investing in our partners is essential for our growth," Kazakevich said.
